Can't believe another month has past. I worked a lot last month so I could take the last week off and go to my daughters in Colorado's for a week. I am almost done with my first crazy quilt project. I had to put it down for awhile which was sad but then a friend saw it and wanted me to finish it into a pillow and buy it so I need to put last touches on it. I bought a lot of wool sweaters and have been felting. Upcrafting is the new term for repurposing. Love it. My craftroom looks like a disaster as I probably have a hundred projects to do. A lady wrote once that she always had a lot of projects to do so she couldn't die till they were all done. I can't see the pearly gates till I'm 145 at this point. Fine with me!

This is incredible to me, it's February already and not only that my baby girl turned 31 yesterday. Time really does fly. I did get alot DONE in January but best of all I got my taxes done! And then last night I finished my recurrent training for work. It's yearly and I have to pass it to keep my JOB which I really do enjoy. So now it's on to getting my parents home (my husband is driving them from Florida as I write). They've decided to sell their place down there and move back full time. It'll be great to have them home but definitely more responsibility on my part. I hope to get my valentines done tomorrow morning and in the mail, then on to the folks house to get it ready for their arrival. I'm sure my brother will have done some too. Not alot of time to work on stuff this week but starting next week I will. Sometimes life is like that so I will wait patiently till I can PLAY!

So on the 29th of December (I had everything sewn, stitched, wrapped, bought) I had to have what was supposed to be minor surgery. Well, yes. that's what it was but it took me down for the next 2 weeks and 1 day and I couldn't sit, stand, lay without pain. It wasn't fun and I couldn't craft or do anything fun. But now I'm finally back and yesterday spent the day learning to crazy quilt. This is a dream come true for me as I've wanted to learn this art since I was 16 and my exhusband's grandma showed me quilting techniques. She was an amazing woman. She ironed and quilted for people and made homemade noodles. She raised her children by herself. A large intimidating woman, she let you know she loved you by how harshly she talked to you. I can still see her holding my beautiful baby girl who was only 6 lbs 1 oz at birth. She looked like a tiny doll up to this woman, but Grandma B LOVED those babies. So in honor of her and my dream I finally created an opportunity to learn this and had an amazing day with a new friend. I'm hooked: line and sinker!!! I'm totally addicted to it!! And I stayed up till 3am working on this piece. I will post a pic as soon as I get my computer back and can upload pics. Have a wonderful week. I'm finally going back to work tomorrow.
